SteepSteel, LLC ("SteepSteel," "we," "us," or "our") owns and operates SteepSteel.com, SteepSteelIntel.com and SteepSteelGov.com in the United States. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through these websites.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you contact us, request a demonstration, or use a website inquiry form or chat feature, we collect the information you submit. This may include your name, email address, organization or agency, and the contents of your inquiry. Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information through general inquiry forms or chat.

Website and device information. Our websites and service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device details, page requests, and technical information needed to deliver the websites and protect them from misuse.

HeyCatch analytics. Where enabled, we use HeyCatch, Inc. to understand visits and interactions and improve our websites. HeyCatch collects visits, sessions, clicks, IP addresses, device and browser details, and analytics identifiers. Its SDK can record that a form was submitted without collecting the contents of the form inputs through automatic capture. Information you submit directly to us is handled separately as described above. HeyCatch processes visitor analytics on our behalf under its Data Processing Addendum. See HeyCatch’s Privacy Policy.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, arrange demonstrations, communicate about requested services, operate and maintain the websites, understand their use, improve content and functionality, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Service providers and other disclosures

We disclose information to providers that support website hosting, communications, inquiry handling, security, and analytics, as needed for those services. Our websites use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

When HeyCatch is enabled, it and its service providers receive visitor analytics information. Enabling its AI analytics features may involve processing analytics data through its AI service providers, as described in HeyCatch’s privacy policy.

We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable law.

Cookies, analytics, and your choices

Our websites and providers may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for website operation, security, and analytics. Blocking cookies in your browser may affect some features and does not necessarily stop every form of data collection.

Where applicable law requires consent for optional analytics or tracking, we obtain it before enabling that collection. Where collection relies on consent, you may withdraw it through the website’s privacy controls. Withdrawal applies to future collection and does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for the purposes described in this notice, taking account of the nature of the information, our relationship with you, and applicable legal requirements. We then delete or de-identify it according to our retention practices and provider arrangements.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

Processing locations

We operate in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must apply to the relevant processing.

Privacy requests

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or object to or opt out of certain processing. Some laws also provide a right to appeal a denied request or complain to a regulator. Contact us using the details below to submit a request or appeal. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding, and legal exceptions may apply.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our practices change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
